YES.. I know it's been forever since I last updated my site!! Get off me man! I've just been busy with work and partying and most of all... just plain LAZY. But for once, I'm not doing anything on this Saturday night and I decided to spend it updating the content.
I noticed my last update was when I saw Dieselboy. He is making one of his rare appearances here in LA at the Together As One New Years event. So me and a few of my friends are gonna check it out. Drum-n-Bass for New Years! Awww Yeeeaah, it's gonna be fun. PVD will be there also and that is always entertaining.
Speaking of entertaining... Go see King Kong. One of the best remakes of an old movie ever. Peter Jackson did an incredible job of giving so much depth and character to a computer generated ape. This movie had over half the theater in tears by the end. I dare you not to cry! We watched it at the ArcLight Cinedome in LA which gave the movie a massive sense of scale. I highly recommend seeing all the big movies there.

Did everybody catch the ending of this seasons Apprentice? Oh man... talk about shut out! For those that didn't get hooked by the self-promoting pompous assed Trump show, it came down to two people... Randal and Rebecca. In the end, Trump chose Randal. But before he could celebrate, Randal was asked if he thought Rebecca would also do good as an apprentice. Randal said she was a good person, but the show was about having only one Apprentice winning, not two. Trump then says, "OK, if that's the way you feel, but I think I could have been swayed." Trump would have totally hired her too! The audience starts booing, Rebecca is shaking her head in disbelief, her smile ripped from her face... it was just a great awkward reality TV moment. DENIED on national TV! How great is that?! She got hired later by Yahoo anyways, but still, I gotta give it to Randal for having the ballz to do that to her in the first place.
This is just a funny story I thought I'd share. Read the whole thing, it's worth it:
I never quite figured out why the sexual urge of men and women differ so
much. And I never have figured out the whole Venus and Mars thing. I have
never figured out why men think with their head and women with their heart.
FOR EXAMPLE: One evening last week, my girlfriend and I were getting into
bed.
Well, the passion starts to heat up, and she eventually says "I don't feel
like it, I just want you to hold me."
I said "WHAT??!! What was that?!"
So she says the words that every boyfriend on the planet dreads to hear...
"You're just not in touch with my emotional needs as a woman enough for me
to satisfy your physical needs as a man." She responded to my puzzled look
by saying, "Can't you just love me for who I am and not what I do for you in
the bedroom?"
Realizing that nothing was going to happen that night, I went to sleep.
The very next day I opted to take the day off of work to spend time with
her. We went out to a nice lunch and then went shopping at a big, big
unnamed department store. I walked around with her while she tried on
several different very expensive outfits. She couldn't decide which one to
take so I told her we'd just buy them all. She wanted new shoes to
compliment her new clothes, so I said lets get a pair for each outfit. We
went onto the jewelry department where she picked out a pair of diamond
earrings. Let me tell you...she was so excited. She must have thought I was
one wave short of a shipwreck. I started to think she was testing me because
she asked for a tennis bracelet when she doesn't even know how to play
tennis. I think I threw her for a loop when I said, "That's fine, honey."
She was almost nearing sexual satisfaction from all of the excitement.
Smiling with excited anticipation she finally said, "I think this is all
dear, let's go to the cashier."
I could hardly contain myself when I blurted out, "No honey, I don't feel
like it."
Her face just went completely blank as her jaw dropped with a baffled
WHAT?"
I then said "honey! I just want you to HOLD this stuff for a while. You're
just not in touch with my financial needs as a man enough for me to satisfy
your shopping needs as a woman." And just when she had this look like she
was going to kill me, I added, "Why can't you just love me for who I am and
not for the things I buy you?"
Apparently I'm not having sex tonight either.

Geezus! Arrrghhh!! We just got plowed over by 18 wheels of steel driven by none other than the Dieselboy himself!! What a friggin crazy good night. My friends and I went to check out some drum n bass at the Larchmont. It's a small intimate venue that got out of control once Dieselboy and his MC took the stage. When was the last time you've heard some really good drum n bass? If its been a while, you need to pick up an album or mix by him. The energy his music creates borders on violent. So much so that this is the first time I've been in a mosh pit for a DJ! Opening up the night was my future girlfriend (i wish) and I don't even know her name yet, but she was really talented. She was a tiny Chinese girl who would bounce as she mixed. So cute and friendly too. She spun some dark drum n bass that really complimented Dieselboy's style. Funniest part of the night is when my friend decided she had enough of the mosh pit and started kicking this guys ass. No, literally. She was physically kicking him in his ass cuz he bumped her too hard.

He was looking around trying to figure out where these kicks were coming from. Guess don't mess with her in the pit. So now I'm going through a drum n bass phase again, listening to it in my car at maddening volume. Love that deep ass bass.

Went to see the King Tut exhibit in LA today. Figured how often is that gonna tour here? It was really cool seeing all those artifacts from 1000's of years ago. Can't believe some of it survived so well. The Egyptian culture was so far ahead of its time. Must have been a great time to be alive to see all those amazing structures when they were brand new. Word of warning though, it's not so much a King Tut exhibit as it is an exhibit about his family and origin. Like don't expect to see his burial sarcauphagus or anything. There are very few actual King Tut artifacts to view. Its more just artifacts from his family and era. But there is more than enough cool stuff to see there. See it before all the stuff goes back to Egypt or England.

We went to see The Pageant of the Masters. I haven't been in 2 years and my friends were kind enough to buy me a ticket for my birthday. Thanks again you two. The theme was "On the Road" this year and as usual, they put on an amazing show. For those that have never seen this event, I highly recommend going at least once to experience it. Great music, art, food and show make it well worth the price. I'm glad I made it out this year.

Ummm... excuse me. Can somebody tell me why the hell I went to the midnight Borders sale for the new Harry Potter book when I'm still 2 books behind in the story anyways? Oh I know.. to see all the nerds and geeks dress up in costumes. Yes that's it. Just can't get enough of those smelly girlfriendless cos-players. I know at least 1/4 of the "wizards" that were there had to be registered sex offenders. I don't remember any sweaty faced fester wizards in the book... So why were so many there that night? And ugh!! Seeing piles of the Harry Potter books in Walmart the next day for way cheaper didn't help either. Let me know if you can get those 2-3 hours of my life back would ya?
July 10th 2005 - Wow... what a night last night. Went to Avalon to see our good friend Rene spin. He tore it up. Had the house room jumpin' and the packed crowd yellin'. Just an all around feel good night with my friends again. Thanks to Saj and Stacy for spending quality time with me on the dancefloor. You guys made that night fun.
July 7th 2005 - You can go ahead and skip seeing Fantastic Four. It's a very generic comic book movie for kids. Special effects are decent, but the story and chemistry of the characters didn't interest you at all. And anytime a movie starts sticking in "extreme" sports, you know the script is lame. It's not a really BAD movie, just not worth paying $10 for. Go see War of the Worlds instead. NO it doesn't have any Scientology in it!! It's basically a throw back to the old school "aliens from mars" type movie. Classic sounds and creatures. The movie has this cool look I can't quite place. Very Spielberg-ish I guess. You have to like the original movie to fully enjoy this remake. This new version is like a tribute to the original film.
July 3rd 2005 - Ugh.... ate so much good food at Tom & Pearl's House Warming OMGWTFBBQ today. That girl is insane with how much food and drinks she had prepared. We ended up snacking and drinking all day again. Lost my ass on some poker with Tom's racist work buddies and talked in depth about anal beads (don't ask). Somehow I'm known as Teriyaki Chicken to them now. It was the perfect way to spend the day after partying the night before. Thank you Tom & Pearl.
July 2nd 2005 - Went to the Independance Festival to party for the weekend. It was held at the LA Coliseum. It was great to be at such a huge party there. Visuals and lighting were cool too. What an awesome night! So many friends new and old. Great music and a good crew made for a night to remember. We all drank so much that night it was crazy. Amazing how friendly people were. Met up with a bunch of new people to party with too. Look forward to seeing you guys again (you know who you are).
June 25th 2005 - Oh man... another all nighter. Getting too old for this. Started pre-drinking at a friends house til 10pm. Then we all went to Club Ivar for some more drinking. Funny thing is, even though it was hip hop night, we still had fun outside on the patio just talking and getting loud. Then one more friend decided to join us as we headed for Avalon. What a great friggin night! Both the house room and the main floor was packed. Couldn't decide which place to stay as we went from bar to bar inside. We had so many drunk bonding moments and made promises half of us probably won't remember. So here they are in writing to remind those few people: 1) "Oh man!! We GOTTA go see Wicked! Let's get tickets..... no, seriously.... let's go. I mean it." 2) "AHHHH... yes!... We are so going to Amsterdam next year.... no, really.... I mean it." 3) "Don't forget.... we gotta see King Tut before it's over." LOL... it's funny the random stuff that we think of when drunk. As for the main DJ, Steve Lawler had the place shaking and going nuts by 2am. Must say his set was harder than I last remember. Good show man.... he must have 2 Austrian mates!! By 3am we were near sick from drinking and sweating and jumping on the dancefloor. So we bailed back to our hood and watched Human Traffic, talked of good munchie food, and laughed as the dog humped arms. Got home around 5am as the sun came up. Just wanted to thank my good friends that night for always making a great time greater. Love all y'all.
June 24rd 2005 - Lucky for me I have about 3 or 4 backup phones, so I wasn't down for long. Using the Audiovox Smartphone now. Does all kinds of crap I'll never use. Speaking of all kinds of crap... I went shopping today and picked me up one of these:
It's the new Philips PSS110. They are so friggin cool. Basically its the worlds smallest boombox. Plays mp3's, lasts for 10 hours, and holds around 60 songs. Don't let the size fool you. This thing can almost pump out more volume than Peter North! You would not believe the clarity and bass response for something so little. Perfect for the beach and my next pool party. It has a line in so you can connect your other gadgets to it, such as a PSP or... umm.. a pickle. Well, not sure on the pickle, but the PSP rocks on this thing. Gives movies and games the sound treatment they deserve. They run about $149 but is well worth it if your obsessed with music like I am.
June 23rd 2005 - Went to a friend's house today to chill at the pool and BBQ. All was well until we got hammered and I jumped in the pool with my friggin phone in my pocket! Just wasn't thinking I guess. Poor Nokia never stood a chance. Rest in pieces... you'll be remembered....
June 22nd 2005 5:32am - Finally finished the new site and posted it live just now. Just 3 days of coding and editing. So glad it's basically done. It's light outside right now, so I'm going to bed before it bothers me. Email me if you notice any bugs or just have comments about the site.
June 21st 2005 - Still working on the site. Progress slow and steady. Coming along nice. Oh man... gotta tell you this. I watched Dog the Bounty Hunter tonight with some friends. What the hell is that show? The family is just so white trash it's ridiculous. Even with all the jokes out these days, the main guy STILL sports the worst mullet in history. He has to know it's awful. Then his wife.... OMG! Didn't torpedo tits go out in the 50's?! They look like they have to be supported by a bookshelf. They go straight out from her chest and are huge. I know.. I know.. it sounds weird I'm saying bad things about a huge chest, but you have to see these monsters to understand. Wait... let me find a picture so you know what I mean.
See her in the back with torpedo's armed and ready? She's ready to fight a war!! But after watching the show for a while, almost all of the "fugitives" give up easily or turn themselves in without any fight. Very anti-action endings to these overly planned captures. The whole show was like a car wreck I couldn't turn away from. Reality White Trash America TV at its finest. Somewhere Jerry Springer is pissed he didn't think of this show first.
June 20th 2005 - Started re-doing my site cuz I was bored with the other format and also because lots of people were starting to bug me that I didn't have any new stuff posted. Hope you like the new format and content. Like I said, it's made with more power and good nutritional content. Enjoy.
